From the simplebooklet PAGE CONTENT tab, you can add images/photos to your pages. These images can be resized and positioned anywhere on your page. You can also edit and apply treatments to your images.

Your images are stored in an image container box on your page. You will be able to customize both your image and the image container.

To add an image, click the IMAGE menu button.

The image will upload and display on your page.  You can then position it and edit it with the tools.

Adding formatted Image Blocks

You can use preformatted image blocks.  Click on the tab and select a formatted image block.

Next, select one of the image blocks to add to your page.  You can choose from image only blocks to preformatted images with text and other features.

There are four different types of image block to choose from.

Small - this is an image that is optimized for 240 pixels wide.
Medium - this is an image that is optimized for 600 pixels wide.
Large - this is an image that is optimized for 800 pixels wide.
Fit To Page - this will scale the image to fit within your page.

We optimize the pictures to reduce their memory size and improve the speed of your booklet's download time. You can still resize the image on the page once it's there, but choosing a size that is closest to the size you want your image will help optimize that image more effectively.

Once you have dropped the image block onto your page, double click on it to enter the edit mode.  Then tap the arrow tool in the image toolbar that appears.

This will reveal the image upload tool.

There are three ways to upload an image to your booklet page.

Upload From Computer - Either drop an image onto the grey field or click and select the image file from your computer.
Link - Use the weblink for an image on a cloud service, photo service, or web site that contains the image.
Image Library Folder - Select an image from your history of already uploaded images. This can be useful for images you use regularily like logos.

The image is added to the image container box.

The image will scale to fit the box. However, the image will never scale beyond it's natural size to protect against degrading the quality of the image.

Fit To Page
The fit to page image container will automatically size your image to fit the entire page dimension.  This is helpful when you want a background image for your page.

Scaling An Image
When you resize the image container box, the image will scale to fit the new container size.

The image will always appear centered within the image container box. The image will maintain it's ratio when you resize the container.

Replacing An Image
to replace an image, double tap on the image to reveal the image toolbar.  Then select the replace button (double arrows). Add a new image in the image options toolbar.  This will add a new image into your existing image container box.

Deleting An Image
To delete an image, single tap on the image.  In the left hand toolbar, tap the delete button.  Confirm that you want to delete the image.

Alternatively, you can single tap on the image and hit the delete key on your keyboard.

Making An Image A Link
You can make any image a link action. Select the image with a single click. This will reveal the toolbars and 4 yellow dots in the corners of your image container box.

Tap the link icon in the leftside toolbar.  You can make the image clickable and trigger a hyperlink, an email, a phone number or even to trigger a flip to a new page.

Styling An Image Container Box
You can style the image container box.  Select the image with a single click. In the right hand style toolbar, use the border, colors, background, drop shadow and more to enhance your image.

Turning Images Into Buttons
Combining these two features can give you the ability to make your own buttons.  Here is an example of making a button from a clipart image that returns the reader to the first page of the booklet.
